Prayer Diary for Week Beginning Monday 13 March

Spend some time today in quietness before God. Reflect on your journey with Him so far and give Him thanks for His love and faithfulness to you. Look out of the window or go for a walk and marvel at His creation and the new life appearing in our gardens. Be open to what God may be saying to you, does he want to do something new in your life?

Pray for the Church Oasis life group meeting this morning and for the other life groups meeting in people’s homes during the week. Pray that God would bless these times of bible study, prayer and fellowship. Thank God for the love and support offered by these groups.

Pray for our local ministries in Egham, for those who run them and for those whom they serve. Today think of The Kitchen, Besom, CAP, The Foodbank and The Shed. Praise God that these areas of practical outreach are such a source of blessing and witness. Pray that those who run them will be encouraged, inspired and strengthened in this work that God has called them to do.

Pray for those attending the Bereavement Support Coffee morning today. Pray that they would find comfort in meeting and talking with others who have also suffered loss. Pray for the Pastoral Team who will be hosting this event. Pray for those who are unwell or facing difficulties at this time. Pray that they would receive the care and support they need and be aware of God’s love and comfort.

Pray for the children’s, youth, and student ministries and their leaders and helpers. Pray that these young lives would grow in their knowledge and love of God through bible stories and activities. Pray for those who teach and help that their own faith would be built up through this work and that they would feel encouraged and blessed.

The opening date of the Easter Centre is fast approaching. Pray that the final preparations would go smoothly and to time. Praise God for all that has been achieved and give thanks for the hard work of so many. Pray for the practical details of moving and the transition of the different groups into the centre. Pray that love and unity would prevail and that God would guide us through any ‘teething problems’. Praise God for the completion of this building.

Pray for our services this morning and for Peter Blackshire as he preaches. Pray that God would speak to us through his words, the prayers and the music. Pray that we may feel encouraged and blessed as we seek to serve God this coming week.
