Sunday Evening Services at St John's
The Stepping Up teaching on discipleship continues this term with Handling God’s Word and Serving in the Kingdom.

The concept – 7 teaching series at Sunday evening services about developing as a Christian – seems simple, but the vision behind it is even more so – St John’s wants to create a church of people passionate about discipleship and passionate about growing as Christians. It wants to see people putting their faith into action in every walk of life, noticeably transforming their community as they share the love of God with others.
Stepping Up is not just another Christian course. Don’t come on a Sunday evening expecting a comfortable service with a comfortable message. Expect to be challenged. Expect to be challenged by the message of the talks. Expect to be challenged by the practical applications suggested each
week. Expect to be challenged by God.

Stepping Up is designed to create passionate people who are growing in their relationships with Christ and with others, and who are putting what
they learn and believe into action. It has been designed to invest in each person who attends, whomever they may be, to meet them where they are and equip them to be a disciple.
Every session is full of ideas for practical life applications of discipleship, which in and of itself embodies the focus of these plans – there is no “one size fits all” answer to discipleship, but Stepping Up will enable you to find your own path to fulfil the vision that God has given us as a church and His plans for you as an individual.
