Playbox is a church run pre-school nursery. It has a policy of equal opportunity for both the children attending and the staff. Playbox accepts all children between from the age of 2½ until school age, regardless of mental or physical ability, gender, race, colour, creed, culture and language – subject to the availability of places.

Playbox is registered and inspected by OFSTED and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.

The group is owned and managed by Egham Parochial Church Council although the day-to-day running is in the hands of experienced and qualified staff.

Playbox runs during Surrey School term times and is located next to St. John’s Church in the Church Centre.

  • Children in their Pre-school year (3 and 4 year olds) attend from 9am until 12 noon
  • Sessions for younger children run on Monday and Wednesday afternoon from 12.45 to 2.45

Children who attend the afternoon sessions will normally be offered a place in the morning for the next academic year.

Playbox is jointly supervised by Sarah Merifield and Siân Williams.
