Mission Support Team

At St John’s we gladly embrace our responsibility to show God's love to the wider church. We pray for and financially support a number of churches overseas, mission organisations, and relief and development agencies. We also promote ethical trading through the sale of Traidcraft products.

St John’s undertakes to give at least 10% of its annual income to support its seven Mission Partners. Our UK-focused Mission Partners are FACT (Faith Awareness in Children Trust), East to West and CPAS (Church Pastoral Aid Society). The overseas-focused Mission Partners we support are Bible Society, Bishop Donald Mtetemela in Tanzania, and Ian and Simea Meldrum in Brazil and Hannah Cross also in Brazil.

In addition to supporting our seven Mission Partners, we also take up special offerings for particular ministries at Lent, Harvest and Christmas. Through these offerings we have supported Tear Fund, Fegan's Child & Family Care, a famine relief project in Northern Tanzania and the joint churches Christmas Kitchen in Egham.

St John's has it's very own alternative gift catalogue entitled Mission Unwrapped. This tool allows the people of St John's to give specific help to our Mission Partners.
