Hearing Champion Clinics
The Guildford Diocese Communities Engagement Team and local NHS Trusts have joined together to provide training for volunteers to become Hearing Champions. These volunteers provide support for users of NHS hearing aids. They are able to clean and replace parts that are worn, give general advice and issue new batteries completely free of charge. It also saves the user a trip to hospital.
In Sept 2015 St John’s became part of this network and are holding maintenance clinics at Manor Farm Day Centre and Grove Court. Any NHS hearing aid users is invited to attend but please bring your brown NHS battery book with you. If you are unable to access these venues then home visits can be arranged.
If you know of someone who would benefit from this service, please let them know about it.
Dates of Clinics can be found on the calendar.
